Triumph TR5-250-6 1967-'76 - Clutch master cylinders

The clutch mechanism disconnects the engine flywheel from the gearbox of your Triumph TR5, Triumph TR250, Triumph TR6 is the connection between the engine and the gearbox.

Type of clutch:
Friction: The force of friction ensures the transmission of torque
Hydraulic: The flow of fluid ensures the transmission of torque

Signs of a defective clutch:
-Partial disengagement causing the vehicle to lose gear with additional noises or vibrations, or if the pedal is more difficult to depress or release
-Partial disengagement resulting in a burning smell in the car, higher fuel consumption, loss of power or overheating of the engine
-Vibration or instability of the vehicle

Causes of clutch failure:
-Starting at high speeds
-Pressing the clutch too often while driving
-Limited service life of clutch parts
-Low quality of spare parts
-Reforming of oil seals in the engine or gearbox
