Triumph TR2-3-3A-4-4A 1953-1967 - Starter motors
The starter motor of a Triumph TR2, Triumph TR3, Triumph TR3A, Triumph TR4, Triumph TR4A is an electric motor which makes the engine start. This electric motor is powered by the car battery. The starter motor is disconnected again as soon as the engine is running.
Your Triumph TR2, Triumph TR3, Triumph TR3A, Triumph TR4, Triumph TR4A does not start? Do you only hear a loud click when turning the ignition key? Is there enough current to run the radio or lights but the engine is dead? These are all signs that the starter motor needs replacing.
